Who We Are
NorthPoint Christian Academy is an unashamedly Christian school. Our school verse (Romans 12:2) best describes us. “Do not conform to the patterns of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is - His good, pleasing, and perfect will.” This verse guides our school, staff, students, and families to be set apart from this world as we seek to thrive in the midst of it while serving others.
Our History
NorthPoint Christian Academy was launched in the Fall of 2021. Our first senior class graduated in the Spring of 2024 and each student was accepted into the college of their choice. Ten years prior to opening, Bill Maslin, a life-long educator and Head of School, was prompted by God to start a school. During these ten years, the idea of NorthPoint was developed and grown by a team that was focused and dedicated to bringing Christian education to the Waxhaw area. NCA is an independent, non-profit with its own governing Board of Directors that guides its ministry. It is a missional-minded school that concentrates on building relationships with each family that chooses to be a part of the Nighthawk Family.
