Emily Canedy

Emily is a First Grade teacher at NCA. She has a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education as well as a Masters in Education of Teaching and
Learning. Teaching is her passion and she firmly believes that God placed the desire to teach in her heart at a very young age. Miss Canedy has a total of 

seven years experience including teaching 1st-2nd grade for five years, teaching small groups, and tutoring Math and Phonics to students with dyslexia. 

She is grateful to have received Orton-Gillingham training which has helped her immensely in being able to target specific needs with all of her students. When not teaching, you will probably find Emily at the nearest coffee shop or at home with her dog, Tucker. Miss Canedy is thankful that God led her to NCA and she looks

forward to building relationships with each of her students. More than anything, Emily's hope and prayer is that each of her students will grow to love God with all of their hearts.
