Laura Hamilton

Laura Hamilton holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with double majors in Marketing and Management as well as a Master of Arts in Student Development with a
concentration in Student Affairs Practice—both earned at Appalachian State University. She has 20+ years of experience meeting the needs of students and parents in middle school, secondary and post-secondary educational settings. Mrs. Hamilton’s career as an educator began at Appalachian State University and then UNC at Charlotte where she was Academic Advisor in the General College and College of Business
respectively. She also served as Director of the Business Learning Community serving students from orientation until major declaration and helping students successfully bridge the gap from high school to college. Laura’s most recent role was at Carolina Christian School where she designed and directed their first College and Career Advising Office and also taught executive function courses. Mrs. Hamilton loves working high school students to help them investigate God’s calling in their lives and how that can be used for kingdom purpose in their discernment of best fit for future academic endeavors, career choices, and in their personal lives.
